Safe Environment

 

St. Mark Church, in coordination with the Diocese of Providence and public agencies, seeks to provide a safe environment for all youth. It is mandatory that every volunteer, teacher, and staff member must have clearance to interact with children or participate in any and all youth activities, events or experiences.


VOLUNTEER REQUIREMENTS:

1.  Fill out a BCI Form and provide a copy of a valid driver’s license (front and back), passport or governmental ID. (document needs to be notarized which can be done at town hall, library or by the director of religious education at St. Mark)

2.  View the Safe Environment Training for Youth

3.  Read the Code of Ethical Conduct and Sexual Misconduct Policy and sign last page.

4.  Fill out the Safe Environment for Youth Checklist and return it to the Parish Office, care of the Office of Religious Education.


Once these requirements are met, please provide completed forms to the Director of Religious Education (dre@stmarkjtn.org).  

 

BCI compliance for all volunteers is good for three (3) years from the date of approval from the Office of Education and Compliance.
